What led you to start this business? Was there something that drew or pushed you into being an entrepreneur?
When microblading hit the Canadian market and experienced exponential growth, I took the first opportunity to get involved, with amazing before and after pictures all over social media, I really thought it would be something I could excel at. Looking back, I am so grateful for getting involved when I did, I had a huge head start getting my business off the ground.
I had been in spa sales for four years representing exclusive brands and decided to use my sales experience and connections in the industry to grow BrowSavvy and the beautiful artistry of Microblading.
What’s the best business advice you’ve ever received and why?
Activity + Tenacity = Results.
When I relax and put things off, I feel it a month later.. So I always do revenue making tasks to bring new potential clients and streams of income.
What advice would you give to someone starting a small business today?
When a market is oversaturated, do things that set you apart from the competition.. write a blog, teach a complementary class, release a new exciting product that compliments your brand or service!
And don’t forget to leave some time for self care, meditation and exercise, your body and mind drives your motivation and function – take care of it, something I often put off, however, I always feel amazing and on top of my game when I include exercise in my daily routine.
