Understanding Employment Standards & Health and Safety for Your Small Business

As part of the Ministry of Labour, Training and Skills Development (MLTSD)’s ongoing commitment to provide compliance support for small business, the ministry will be hosting a two-hour information session to provide our clients with an overview of the Employment Standards Act (ESA) and Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA). These presentations will be delivered by subject matter experts from MLTSD’s employment standards and occupational health and safety programs.
The session will cover key topics such as:
- Employment Standards Act: hours of work, public holidays, leaves of absence and more
- Ontario Health & Safety Act: getting help making your workplace safe, information regarding injury reporting, inspector visits, and more.
